Hi there, thanks for taking the time to comment. We´ll definitely be following your race next year. It´s hard to believe that you will have probably done your entire trip around the world before we get back to London! We´re aiming to be back in time for the Olympics as we have tickets for a couple of events and are keen to watch the games in our home town.

      Hi Valerie and Alan,

Great to hear from you. Just arrived in Lima and enjoying a few days to explore and rest. Have had a fantastic time so far here in Peru encountering some amazingly varied scenery. Was great to have the folks out here to share it all with them for a while and let them carry our bags! Am sure Mum will bore you to death with it all when you see them!

Hope all is well with you and keep in touch.

      Patrick and Laura xxx

Sorry to have downgraded the amazing PA postcards that Paddy and Laura write with our own contribution, but just HAD to share our incredible and wholly memorable experiences of being with them both. They are truly an exceptional couple – full of grit and determination, a great spirit of adventure, positive in the extreme, absolutely making the most of this time they have carefully carved out for themselves – and so very generous to share it with us all in such a vivid way. Thank you Laura and Paddy – you make a wonderful, happy team!

    Hi Patrick and Laura,
Sorry I have not been in touch for a while. I have been in Canada.
It is great following your adventures especially seeing you both on video.
I am sure that you were glad of the help of a great support team in the form of your mum and dad. I will share your Peru adventure with my cousin, Fr. Michael when he stays here next week, as he spent many happy years in Peru. The places sound so romantic, Lake Titicacu and Machu Picchu especially but I am sure that poor Laura did not feel the same way when she was suffering with altitude sickness.
What would you say that you really don’t miss and maybe do miss the most from England?
Take good care of each other. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
    Lots of love,
    Cathy xxx ooo

I totally underestimated the difficulties of cycling at altitude, thinking that rising slowly on our bikes we would acclimatise easily.…
